The Paper Shelter Challenge #190 Recycle

The Paper Shelter's challenge
this week is asking everyone to use something
on their card that is recycled.

This should be easy right?
WRONG! I had a hard time with this challenge....
I chose to rip apart a gift bag I had
that had glittered hearts on it.

I thought it was perfect because it is
also almost Valentine's Day
and well I needed some hearts!

I also chose to use the adorable image
Valentina, which you can find here!

It took me 3 tries to ink this image,
my pens were being stubborn and
would blob all over her face.....
in fact this one had a blob
right in the nose area, but
after the third try I was
determined to make this one work!

Isn't she cute? Aside from the stubborn
markers, I had fun inking this one up.

with the 3D foam to make them stand out!

  3. Nikki, this is just gorgeous. Love all the soft colours and your colouring is fabulous as always. I have horrible colouring days like yours too and it's just so darn annoying isn't it, but this one turned out great in the end!

    Have a great weekend.

  5. This is a fabulous card. The image is cute and you've colored her beautifully. I love how you've shaded this and it gives it such depth. The glittery hearts are wonderful and thank you for the idea to use the old gift bags. Lots of mine are slightly beat up and I hate to throw them away cause they're so pretty...so thank you! I adore the layering and colors you used to layer. By putting the tan behind this little image, you've made her the center of attention. This card is awesome. Hugs, Gail
