Anything Goes Challenge...=)

So first off, I would like to thank all the participants in the last Halloween challenge
and congratulations to the winners. You all have some super cool creative mojo out there for real.
I enjoyed looking at all of your creativeness.
This next challenge is "Anything Goes" so let's get to it. I chose the most adorable image.
One I have never used before and I am not sure why.....
but he is super adorable and he was so much fun to ink up.
His name is Conductor Owen and you can find him here!
Love Love LOVE him right?

How adorable is this image?

It is kind of hard to tell but I took all the letter stickers and distressed the edges on them to make them pop. I also put them on pop up foam adhesive so they stand out a bit more...
A very tedious job but I like the look of it....

Happy Birthday Christine!!! =)

I would love to wish Christine, the owner/artist of the Paper Nest Dolls
 a very Happy Birthday!
The DT all decided to make her cards and send them to her and this is the one that I made especially for her using the cutest stamp EVER, Miss Hollywood who you can find here!

She is simply the cutest! I decided to try and make her 3D, I am by no means an expert but I thought I did pretty good considering it was really my first try. It did take me a few tries! So what do you think??

I do not know if you can see the 3D or not, so I took a picture at an angle.

Of course I coloured this little beauty with Copics!

Halloween Challenge... =)

First off, don't forget to check out the Paper Nest Dolls blog for the Winter Blog Hop...

We are going back old school with this blog post. I made this card a long time ago for Christine because she needed a sample card with this particular image quick and I never did post it so I thought this would be the best time to do it. It is a SUPER adorable stamp. Her name is Little Witch Ellie and you can find her here at the Paper Nest Dolls online store.

Because this card was done so long ago, the pictures are not quite up to my usual quality, nor is the list of products I used. I literally made this card, took a couple of pictures and fired it off in the mail. In fact, I don't even think I wrote down the products I used. I do however know the stickers and paper were all bought at Michaels craft store. I used Gina K Kraft card stock and made the base card 5.5X5.5.

I did remember to write down the Copic colours I used =)

Hair: C3, C5, C7, C9, V6

I really hope you like this card I made. I always have fun at this time of year with the black, orange, green and purple combinations.... stay crafty friends =)

This challenge runs from October 14th - October 25th . For the full rules of the challenge, please visit The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge blog and see the sidebar. I will highlight some of the rules here. We would LOVE to see your creations using a Paper Nest Doll stamp, however, it is NOT a requirement for this challenge. It does HAVE to be a Halloween themed card. The DT will pick their top 3 submissions for each challenge, and one randomly chosen winner will win our sponsored prize package  of goodies pictured below.

I Did It..... I Bought It!!! =)

Oh boy I did it....... after all the hoop la you hear about this machine. I finally broke down and ordered one the other day. My BFF and I were sitting there hanging out watching TV and all of a sudden out of no where, I said I was going to buy a Silhouette. My friend understands my addictions to the crafting world. All she said was OK, just do it..... haha, she knows me so well. I did hum and haw for a bit. I even phoned my mom to see what reaction I would get from her but as usual she said, "your going to do what you want anyways" and well yeah she is right...... so after researching where the best place would be to order it, I ordered it.
I have owned cutting machines before. I bought my first Cricut years ago. I did use it but not as much as I thought I would. I then gave that machine to my darling SIL and bought the big guns, the Cricut Expression. I never used that one. Oh wait, I used it once to make Christmas decorations for the Paediatric ward I work on last year. That was pretty much it. I even bought all the extras to make it enticing, I still didn't use it. So why do you ask did I buy the Cameo Silhouette? Everyone keeps saying it is the coolest thing around, so I just had to try it.
I ordered it from Studio Calico. Being from Canada, the shipping costs can be a little outrageous but Studio Calico had a super deal.... FREE SHIPPING!!! I got a bundle which included the mat, blade and stamping starter kit AND a $25.00 card to Silouhette Online. I am pretty sure that I will pay duty when it arrives but I did not have to pay the $75.00 shipping on top of that. I could not pass it up.
I noticed I got a shipping email with a tracking number yesterday.  I am going to be watching that like a hawk. Says it is going to arrive Friday, October 11th.
I will let you know how my experience is with it..... =)
