Such a Pretty Little Stamp.....

Flutterby Annabelle
          I absolutely love this stamp. In fact, I love all of the stamps from Tiddly Inks. They are always so creative and easy to colour. I coloured this lovely little Annabelle for my cousin's birthday card. After posting this pic I realized that she looks like she has a bad case of dandruff but I swear she does not. You will notice that in the finished card picture.I have been trying extremely hard to get all my birthday cards completed a head of time. So far, I have completed everything up to the middle of April. This is also including the cards for my coworkers. I feel like I have accomplished a ton of stuff over the Christmas holiday. I also am going away for 3 weeks the second week of March so I wanted to make sure everything was completed before I went. Here is the finished card.....

          On this 5.5X5.5 card, as you know I used the Tiddly Inks Flutterby Annabelle digital stamp. I just love the teal and purple colour combinations together.... The teal paper is from Core'dinations, the lavendar paper is Mulberry paper that I use for my TearBears. The patterned paper is "Rhapsody Jubilation" from 3bugsinarug. As you can see from many other cards I have posted that I absolutely love the organic look of Gina K's Kraft paper. This is usually my first choice in colour that I will use for my cardbacks..... I also really like using Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in "Walnut Stain".
          I am a HUGE Copic fan so most of my cards have been done with Copics..... I used E00, E11, R20 for her skin. Her hair was done in E25, E27, E29. The dress, shoes and wings were done with BV000, BV00, BV01, BV02, & BV08. For the remaining parts of the card I used RV63, RV66, B00, B01, B02, YG06, YG25, RV29, Y08, TR07, YR16, E40, E43 and RV23. I added some bling with Diamond Stickles. I also added the little crocheted butterfly (not sure who it is by). Hope you enjoy.....

First Time with Prismacolors.....

          So I bought the Prismacolor pencils awhile back and this image was my very first attempt at using them. This image was done months ago and I finally got a chance to use it for my cousin's wedding anniversary card. Another Tiddly Inks digital stamp "You and Me". This card was inspired by this sketch made by Deconstructed Jen. I love her sketches and they really help when my mind draws a blank. This has happened a lot lately with all the cards I have tried to complete.

          As you can see I used my favorite Gina K Kraft cardstock. This card is a 6X6 card, so I had to make my own envelope for it in matching kraft cardstock. I actually make most of my own envelopes either using the Kraft coloured cardstock or a coordinating colour. The patterned paper is Carta Bella "Beautiful Moments". I used heart and circle shaped spellbinders. I also distressed the edges with Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain" ink. I coloured the skin and hair with Copic markers. I used E000, E00, E11 and R20 for the skin.  The hair is coloured in E44, E47, E49 and C3, C5, C7, and C9.  The Prismacolors I used were PC94, PC92, PC935, PC1065 and 70% Cool Grey.

Teal, Orange and Coral, who knew?

This was kind of a different colour combination for me to do. I do not normally pair teal with oranges/corals but I have to say I really {heart} these together.... and quite honestly it wasn't planned, I was stumped as to what I was going to do to put this card together..... I was going through the boxes of patterned paper that I have and came across this MME "Garden Party". I {heart} MME.... they are simply very talented creative people who put together the most lovely paper...... I don't think there is any paper from them that I do not like........ so as I lay the pieces down I realized how well these colours actually work and I ran with it...... this is the finished result.... and I really quite like it.... hopefully my cousin likes it too.... :)

The close up will show you the "sparkle". I love Diamond stickles, I think it just adds that little "bling" to a card without over doing it. The stamp I chose for this particular card was Tiddly Inks "Wryn Birthday Girl". She is so sweet and cute. You could use her for Christmas as well if you really wanted to. Of course my A2 card was made from Gina K Kraft card stock. The teal coloured Core'dinations paper worked really well with the design of the card. The Copic markers I used were E00, E11, R20, E25, E27, E29, BG01, BG02, BG07, BG49, BG57, FV2, YG23, YG25, B18, B24, YR04, YR07, Y08, RV11 and RV14. I also finished the card some distressing with Tim Holtz "Walnut Stain" and Bella Creations seam binding...... hope you enjoy!!!!

Versatility is a great thing.....

This stamp is so cute and so versatile! You could use it really for any occasion because the sign is blank and you can choose whatever sentiment you like. I chose Amy R "Sweet Sentiments" SO I made it into a birthday card for one of my many aunts. The sentiment fit perfectly into the sign portion of this cute little stamp. This stamp is from Tiddly Inks and she is called "Send Me A Sign Bug"

Here is a closer view of the finished product. I chose none other than Gina K Kraft card stock in the A2 size. For the patterned paper selection I chose 3bugsinarug "Rhapsody Jubilation". This paper is to DIE for..... that teal and purple colour combination...... {heart}.... I actually used mulberry paper cut out with the scalloped rectangle shape to frame the rectangle image. The colours were really simple using Copics, I used E00, R20, V17, V25, C00, C0, C1 and C3. Very simple, yet very adorable......I added some bling with the Diamond stickles and finished it with a bow made from Bella Creations Seam Binding...... {I have to work with this stuff a little more, I found it hard to tie}

Ohhhhh she is so cute.......

So originally when I was thinking about making my co-worker's card I had come up with this really cute card with all these butterflies and such...... well I didn't quite "feel" it...... for some reason when I make a card for someone there is always this "reason" why I choose the card/stamp I do, whether it reminds of the person, or I just get a feeling.... so when I noted this digital stamp in my collection... {yeah that's right, I have so many digital stamps that I have totally forgotten which ones I have bought} I totally thought of Carly.... this stamp IS her..... literally to the coffee cup she is holding... she has the same freckles, the same friendly eyes and I could not resist but make her birthday card out of this..... Carly is a very friendly charismatic girl. She is by far one of my favorite people to work with {although we don't work a ton together because of our schedules} but when I get the opportunity it is so hard not to just {heart} her. Oddly enough {back in the day} when I was a hairdresser, her mom was actually a client of mine and apparently I cut Carly's bangs when she was really little.... I truly ADORE her...... and I hope she {heart's} her card......

The cardback is a 6" grand caliber scalloped circle.... made out of {you guessed it} Gina K Kraft card stock. I have used this MME "So Sophie" patterned paper for a lot of my cards... I {heart} it! I think it is the colour combination of orange and pink...... The digital stamp is CC Designs "Latte Kiki La Rue". I cut her out with the oval spellbinders and then framed it with Stampin Up's "pumpkin" card stock cut out with the Spellbinder's scalloped oval shape. Of course I had to distress everything with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in "Walnut Stain". As far as the colouring goes..... her skin was coloured with Promarkers in Blush, Sunkissed Pink and Baby Pink. Her hair was coloured with Copics in E25, E27 and E29. Her dress and such was coloured with R83, R85, YR16 and YR18. Of course her little coffee cup is coloured with W0, W1 and W3.

She is super sweet just like the receiver of this card....... Hope you enjoy..... please comment. :)
