Hairdresser's ARE a Girl's Best Friend =)

My latest card post is for one of the
most important people in a girl's life.
You all know who I am talking about....

This person can make you feel special with
the roll of her brush..... that's right you guessed it!

It is for my hairdresser, Tara!
Her birthday is coming up at the end of
the month and she needed a cute homemade card!

This card is using Puddle Jumper Sweet Girl

I had picked out the papers first and then matched up the Copics.
SO MUCH EASIER........ I have to do this more.....

Copics

Skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
Hair - E74, E77, E79
Clothes/Accessories - BG10, BG11, BG13, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17

I made the sentiment myself using Photoshop. I am really
loving the circled shaped sentiments.

By Lori Designs - Puddle Jumper Party Time Gabby!

Hey Everyone!

I said I was going to ink some more of Lori Boyd's
designs and I was not kidding.

I printed off a bunch because I find
them so easy to ink up in a pinch.

I did things a little differently with this particular card
I am going to show you today.

I actually made the card first with a spot for the
inked image. I always do things difficulty
by colouring the image THEN trying to find the
paper to match. IT IS NOT EASY this way!

What do you think?

I got the whole design of the card done first
and then matched up my Copics to the papers...

What a novel idea? I think I may be doing this more.

I have such a hard time picking out colours to use
and I have a WHOLE lot of paper.
The image I used was a cute Puddle Jumper
named Party Time Gabby.
You can find her here at By LORi Designs!

Copics

E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
E43, E44, E47, R02, R05, R08
YG03, YG05, YG25, BG10, BG11, BG57

I added some Crystal Accents to the balloon
to make is pop more.

This is not a normal colour combo I would do
but I certainly LOVED the way it turned out.
I think because it was on the paper, I
could get an idea of what those colours would
look like together....

By Lori Designs - Lollipops Happy Birthday Annie =)

Another new year and another busy
year with greeting cards of the like.

Today's inspiration card is using a
By Lori Designs image called Lollipops

I absolutely adore these images and it has
been a long time since I have inked any up.

If you check out her site, you will
see the whole family are talented little artists,
with her daughter Hanna and Ella
having their very own stamp lines!

Way to go girls! =)

Looks like I am going to have to pull out my arsenal
of By Lori Design images and get inking!

Copics

E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, R20
E21, E23, E25, E27, B32, B34, B37, B39
RV13, RV14, Y13, Y15, Y17
C0, C1, C2, W1, W2, W3, E41, E42, E43, E44

I think I may add some Crystal Accents to the balloon
to make it more real like.

Such a Pretty Image.......

So I completed another card today but I am not 100% sure what kind of card or who it is going to be for. The inside is not completed yet but I spent a lot of time on the front of it. I am kind of sad because this will be the last card I do before I go on my holidays {where I won't have access to all me creative stuff}. Well, actually I still have the 3 cards for The Paper Nest to post, one that will be posted for later tonight, so keep you eyes peeled..... it is SUPER cute.....
I decided to make a card using one of the inked images I had laying around. Normally I pick the paper first and then do the image but this time I inked the image first and tried to match paper to the image.... considering all the paper I have this was pretty easy to do and it turned out awesome, even if I say so myself...... the image I used is from LORi Boyd and her name is Ella, she is available here.
She was too much fun to colour, in fact, I think I coloured her 3 different ways but this is the one I chose to use for now, the others are pending creative drive =)

Isn't she adorable? I really did enjoy colouring her. I used Copic markers {of course}! Her skin was coloured with E000, E00, E11 and R20. Her hair was coloured with E13, E15 and E17. Her Skirt and tights were coloured with Y13, Y15, Y17, YG03 and YG25. Her boots and top were coloured with RV21, RV23 and RV25.

Isn't she bright and beautiful? The 5.5X5.5 card is made by Gina K Kraft coloured card stock. I also used Gina K Black Onyx paper to line the Pebbles "Sunnyside" patterned paper. I sewed each section of patterned paper to the black paper. The flower added is a Prima flower. I really like how this one turned out, now to decide who gets it... ;). xo

Thank You.....

I am so excited....... my blog is going to be updated within the week and I am so happy with the changes that are about to be made..... stay tuned....

So I have found By LORi Designs..... and let me tell you, her stuff is cute..... I have no idea what rock I have been hiding under but I have seen the light..... :) I chose Lollipop Sophie. I never had a specific idea in mind for this card but it did end up being a "thank you" card for some co-workers who wanted it for someone who has gone beyond the call of duty. How can I resist making one of my cards..... I simply {heart} doing it for anyone. Especially if it brings a smile to his/her face.

As you can see I have used my newly designed (by myself) watermark which includes my new blog address. I am quite happy with it and finally have figured out how to do it.... :)

This is your typical A2 Gina K Kraft coloured card back. I don't typically use this size but thought it would work well with this stamp size I chose to use. I am unsure of the green cardstock used, I know it is Stampin Up and the pink is from the Petals line from Gina K.The patterned paper is AMAZING. It is a digital pack that I ordered from Beartless on Etsy. Lollipop Sophie is coloured with Copics. Her skin is E000, E00, E11 and R20. He hair is E50, E51, E53, and E55. I used YG03, YG23, YG25, R83 and R85 for the dress, bow and socks. The shoes are done in 110 and blended out with 0. I used pearl accents for around the die cut and a Uniball Signa gel pen in white for the faux stitching. The "thank you" sentiment on the inside is from ScrappyMoms..... Hope you enjoy.....xo
