Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 13 - Ovals (Think Easter)

Sadly this will be my last post with Digi Choosday's,
I have made the decision to take a little
break and have stepped down from the team.

This week's challenge is "Ovals, think Easter" at Digi Choosday's challenge.
When I think Easter, I think bunnies and well,
what is cuter than this little guy here.
His name is Noah!  His link is below.

Isn't he just too cute? I used an oval spellbinder
to cut out the digital image, so that is oval
requirement of the challenge...

Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 12 - Lots of Layers!

So this week's inspiration project is going to be a little
different for me. I decided that for the "Lots of Layers"
challenge at Digi Choosday's Challenge, I would
step outside the box and do a digital scrapbook page.

Originally I was going to ink up the image on
my own but I could not get it to "work" with the
layout, so I opted for the pre-coloured image
that the kit offers, they really are gorgeous.

I used the MyMemories program. The last time I did
this was about 4 years ago for scrapbooks I did for
my Mom and SIL for Christmas. So I was teaching myself
as I went. Also, my program kept crashing which made this
project a little tedious, but I learned that if I saved after
every add on, I was ok.

Let's talk about the add ons... there are a TON of layers
on this page..... I even distressed the edges and added the Tim
Holtz distressing ink in Walnut Stain.
I liked the way it turned out, aside from
it taking forever because of all the system crashes.

The nice thing about this program is
that you can pop everything up by adding shadows
to everything, which kind of makes it look 3Dish.

EVERYTHING on this project was from the new release, Eden.
The papers, the flowers, the butterflies, the word art, the coloured image,
the sentiment. It was ALL from the new release.

This is super gorgeous release everybody,
you HAVE to check it out.... the link is below.

Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 11 - Anything but a Square!

This week's challenge over at
is "Anything But a Square" card.

I really wanted to showcase the beautiful
digital stamp called Dollie Daydream Goes East - Lilly.

Isn't she gorgeous?

She was a dream to ink up.

She can be bought as a single stamp or
a full collection. For the paper, I
used a sample from the Christmas Joy collection.
It matched up so well the image I inked.
Please see below for the links.

I used a Grand Caliber Labels 1 for the card shape.
Please excuse my pictures as well, I have been trying different
editing software, the editing for these pictures
were with Picmonkey. Quite fun to use... =)

I was really trying to figure out the best way to
feature the beautiful stamp.
The simple background and simple black
accessories did the trick.

Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 10 - Add Some Lace

This week's challenge over at Digi Choosday's
is to add some lace to your creation.

We all know I am not a HUGE fan of the stuff
but I think I pulled it off with this card.

I used the newly released Octavia Moonfly
Rose Garden. {Link is below}

In fact, the image and papers are from
the same collection. The scrabble tiles
are from the Work and Play 9
Love and Kisses collection.

I like how this turned out even though I think
lace is hard to work with.

Digi Choosday's Challenge Week 9 - Mother's Day

It's all about our lovely mom's over at

Everyone who knows me, knows I love teddy bears.

I just had to ink up Etty Shy and make her into
this adorable inspiration card using papers
and sentiments from the newly released
Octavia Moonfly collection.

I loved how it turned out....

I think my mom will love this card......

I unfortunately was fussy cutting her out and ended up
snipping off her gorgeous flower that
she was holding. I coloured them to match the
background paper.

I popped up her tummy and snout with
some 3D pop up stickers.
