Welcome to Wonderland, Tea Anyone??

I could not pass up the opportunity to take part in this special new release when I was asked by Christine. I absolutely ADORE this stamp and fell in love with it immediately. Her name is Teatime Ellie and she is part of Christine's Wonderland theme....... and wonderful it is......

How cute is she? ADORABLE....... I inked her up with Copic markers. Her skin was done with E000, E00, E11 and R20. Her hair is inked with E50, E51 and E53. Her dress, shoes and hair accessories were coloured with B00, B02, B04, B05 and B06. Her apron was inked with C0, C1 and C3. I also added some sparkle to her shoes and hair accessories with Turquoise Stickles.

I found this little wooden teapot and thought it would be perfect for this card. I covered it with My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose patterned paper and distressed it with Tim Holtz distressing ink in Walnut Stain. I stamped it with a sentiment "Warm Wishes" from the Paper Smooches "Hot Concoctions" stamp set.

I made this 5.5X5.5" square card from Gina K Kraft card stock. I used Turquoise card stock to add pops of colour. The first layer of patterned paper is Lilybeedesign's "Sweet Shoppe". The other patterned paper is My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose. I used Spellbinders Label 1 and 16 to cut out the image and frame. The heart border is called Layered Heart Border from MFT Die-Namics die cuts. I heavily distressed all the layers {including the card} with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distressing ink. I tied in the bling with the rhinestones at the corner and I added faux stitching and dots with the Signo Uniball white gel pen. This is it..... hope you love.... stay crafty my friends.....

Are You Feeling Groovy?

Oh it is so nice to be back to the blog posts........ I really enjoyed my 10 weeks on the challenge blog but it IS nice to be back........ I was at Michael's recently and found these really cool wooden pieces and my mind started racing as to how I could use them with my cards.... well today's post is going to show you exactly what I was thinking about..... the idea popped into my head almost immediately and all I did was pray that no one else on the design team had picked this image yet......
I was so lucky because no one had so I signed up and got busy...... I chose Hippie Chick, she is available here! I wanted to do something bright, cheery and super colourful. This is what I came up with....

Of course I used my favourite medium, Copic markers to ink this adorable little stamp with. This image was printed on Make it Crafty Alcohol blending card. Her skin was inked with E000, E00, E11 and R20. Her hair was done with E50, E51, E53 and E55. Her pants were done with BG02, BG05 and BG07. Her belt was YG03 and YG25. Her shirt was done with RV21, RV23, RV25, Y15 and Y18. Grass was inked with G21 and G24. The flowers were done with YR04, YR07 and G24.

Here is the wood piece I was talking about. I covered it with patterned paper from Glits called "Unchanted Waters", I cut it out with an exacto knife, filed and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain ink. Isn't it adorable? It was perfect for this card.... =)

How groovy is this? Totally loved making this card. It was so much fun. The card is 5.5X5.5" square card made out of Gina K Kraft card stock. I used MME's "Happy Girl" patterned paper. There are some wooden heart shapes from Simon Says Stamp. The sentiments are from MFT's "Farout" and Hero Arts "PSSST" stamp sets. I added some cheese cloth and did some faux stitching with my Signo Uniball gel pen in white. I really hope you enjoy it.... I loved making it =).

Roller Derby Anyone????

There is nothing like the sound of roller skates crashing and rubbing along the cement floor, along with women getting pushed to the ground with a thump. Although I would love to be a derby girl.... I am not, BUT I am a huge fan of it as my BFF is a derby girl, as is her daughter, and my other BFF is joining the team as well. I live vicariously through them. See I bruise WAY to easily and the closest you will get me to the rink is doing first aid at the bouts, and quite frankly even that terrifies me. A coworker of mine asked if I could do three cards for her for graduations. One of which is the one I am about to show you. Oddly enough, this girl graduated from nursing school BUT she is a derby chick to the CORE so my coworker asked if I could something derbyish for her, how could I resist?

I tried to come up with something funky and this is what I came up with. Isn't this rad? The image is from Simply B Stamps and is called Roller Derby Wednesday. I used Gina K Kraft card stock and made a 5.5X5.5" card. There was also purple card stock (unknown but from my huge stash). I used MME "Little Black Dress" patterned paper. I hand drew the faux stitching with a black pen. I also heavily distressed the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain ink. I added some bling in the corners.

As you can see from this picture and not the one above, I decided to add a diploma I made out of paper. The image was inked with Copic markers. Her skin was done with E000, E00, E11 and R20. Her hair was inked with C3, C5, C7, and C9. Her eyes were done with G21 and G24. Her eye makeup was done with C3, C5, and C7. Her outfit was done with C3, C5, C7, C9, V09, V15 and V17. There is also some Y18 through out the mix. The image was printed on Make It Crafty alcohol blending card and cut with Spellbinders Petite Ovals. Hope you enjoy =).

Challenge # 3.... Embossing..... =)

Welcome to the third challenge at The Paper Nest Dolls challenge blog. This challenge is all about embossing..... you heard me right....embossing.... However you can incorporate it in your project, we want to see it... =). You can visit the sideline of the challenge blog for the full rules, here. I used my favourite stamp of all times.....Boo Boo Bear {maybe cause I am a Paediatric nurse}. You can find her here!

Of course I used Copic markers to colour this lovely little lady. Her skin is coloured in E000, E00, E11 and R20. I made her a red head with E11, E13, E17 and E18. Teddy is coloured with E40, E41, E42, E74, E77, E79 and R20. Her hat and shirt were coloured with C1, R39 and R46. The stethoscope was inked with RV21. I also added some shadowing to the table area with W00, W1 and W3. How cute is she?

I used mulberry paper {the stuff used to make those cute fluffy little bears, see this post} in pink to frame the inked image. It was cut with the scalloped circle spellbinder and I dried embossed it with the Cuttlebug using the Spots & Dots folder.

The sentiment is from Ninja Skills which I purchased from There She Goes stamps. It is heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Below you can see the kraft background behind the inked image. This was heat embossed with clear embossing powder using the Inkadinkado polka dot background stamp.

I of course made the 5.5X5.5" square card using Gina K Kraft card stock. I used MME's Indie Chic "Saffron" patterned paper. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distressing tool and Walnut Stain ink. I also added faux stitching using the Signa Uniball gel pen in white. The rose is Spare Parts from the Paper Studio {thanks Christine =)}. I can't wait to see what all of you lovely little crafters will come up with for this challenge..... xo

Love is Such a Beautiful Thing.....

So this card that I am posting today is for my baby brother and his wife. I was so happy when Jill came into our family..... although I am sure she thought I was a little crazy. But she fit right in with all of us.... they have given me my beautiful niece and handsome nephew and I love them dearly.....
I first noted this stamp company on Facebook, all these cute little digital stamps kept creeping on my page and they were adorable.... so when I saw this one, I knew exactly who I was going to make a card for with it...... Heidi from 2CuteInk can rock some serious cuteness. This is Panda Love......

Aren't they absolutely adorable? I fell in love the minute I saw this stamp..... please see below for details....

As with most of my cards, this one is made on Gina K Kraft card stock in the A2 size. The digital stamp was printed on Gina K Pure Luxury 120lb white card stock. Gina K Black Onyx was used to frame the image. The patterned paper I used was MME "Love Me". One of the many paper packs I got from The Paper Nest {thank you Christine!} Of course I distressed the main layering piece with Tim Holts distressing tool and inked all the layering edges with "Walnut Stain". I also added some faux stitching with the Uniball Signo white gel pen. What I thought was really a nice touch was the little wood mini hearts that I got from Simon Says Stamp from they February Card Kit..... The image was inked in none other than Copic markers. I used R83, R85, Y16, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, and C9.

The inside of the card was kept to a minimal with the use of some patterned paper from MME's "Love Me". The sentiment "all because two people fell in love" is from Scrappy Mom's. I really hope you like this as I hope my cousin's will too. xo
